Korean Style Chicken soup restaurant located near Gimpo International Airport and Seoul Botanic Park.
Samgyetang is one of Korea’s traditional dishes, typically enjoyed during the summer months for its nutritious and revitalizing qualities. It’s a hearty soup made primarily with chicken, jujubes, glutinous rice, ginseng, and garlic, among other ingredients. Historically, it’s been valued in Korean cuisine as a form of traditional medicine, believed to boost energy levels and strengthen the immune system.
To prepare samgyetang, a whole chicken or chicken pieces are simmered for hours with various herbs and vegetables to create a rich broth. The soup is then served piping hot, often seasoned with salt and pepper to taste. Additionally, diners may customize their samgyetang with condiments such as salt, pepper, or gochujang. The restaurant serves raw peppers and cucumbers along with samgyetang. And one glass of ginseng liquor is also provided.
A typical samgyetang boils ginseng and various herbal medicines with chickens. In addition to this, there is a special samgyetang in this restaurant: samgyetang with perilla seeds. The samgyetang with perilla seeds is savory and rich in nutrition. It’s hard to recommend to anyone who’s not familiar with the perilla scent, but it has a taste that you won’t regret after trying it out.
